I got this device to simplify my home desk and my work from home hardware.I have my keyboard, mouse, USB headset, and camera connected to the device as inputs, and my home computer as output1 and work computer as output2.This device lets me switch my mouse and keyboard to my work computer, while keeping my headset connected to my home computer for the cases when I want to listen to music, but then allows me to switch my headset and camera over to my work computer when I need to attend meetings.Inside the box, aside from the matrix switch, a couple of few other goodies were included, like a IR receiver extender, and a serial input/output (SIO) cable that will allow you to connect it to a computer and communicate and control the device through serial commands. The handbook that comes with it fully outlines all commands.I'm not sure if this device is initially intended for testing hardware, but it has been amazing, and has been working great!
