This took close to an hour to put together from opening the box to full cleanup with me being the helper, hubby being on main. I made the shelfs on top and helped make the shelves on side of the desk. The instructions were great/clear, everything labeled, it was an easy setup (14 steps with building the shelves) and the fact they had a bag of extra parts is awesome.Seems pretty sturdy doesn't shake at this point... hoping I'm not going over the max for the amount of desk can hold which claims to be 500 total. That being said lifting my old Walmart desk (which was like 40 in instead of this 55 in) the old Walmart still felt a little heavier probably due to the metal legs on this new one holding this thing up.As you can see I put a riser on the desk because I need to stand more.Love the blue/turquoise shelve color. It's funny how by themselves they look more blue but with the desk and all set up it looks more like a turquoise teal either way those are my two favorite colors.Came in pieces wrapped well in styrofoam, was surprised there wasn't any damage cuz it is heavy and there was some corner punctures to the box but they did they packing well!The package was heavy and large, so I had to bring it into the house a few pieces at a time. Parts were all well marked, but the markings were on the packaging, not the pieces, so keep those together. All hardware, tools, and spare parts were clearly marked and included with no missing pieces. The holes lined up perfectly.As I said, I'm not strong and sitting on the floor is a painful for me. But I managed to put this together by myself in an hour, and that includes the prep and then having to take one of the side pieces off the top and replace it because it was reversed. It has a sturdy X-bracket on the back.I did need a neighbor to help me turn it upright. It is completely stable with no shaking. It looks clean and neat. It is large enough to work on comfortably. I edit legal transcripts so I have to spread out a number of reference books, and this still gives me plenty of room. (55") While it's large enough for me to work on, the open sides keep it from looking overwhelming.I do not like a monitor close to me, so I have a much smaller desk centered behind it on which the monitor sits. If you put your monitor directly across from you, it's going to be close. The computer easily would fit on one of the shelves or, if a laptop, fits neatly in one corner to give you almost the entire desktop to work on.My only minor disappointment is that the keyboard shelf seems a bit tight when it is slid in. Everything fits, but I like to be able to slide my hand in and move the mouse without pulling the drawer out. Nevertheless, everything slides in easily and the keyboard shelf is a good size. I may just buy some slightly larger brackets to lower the shelf for me.I'm delighted with this desk and have no hesitation giving it five stars.This was actually the second desk I purchased. After disassembling the 1 million pieces and throwing them in a box and returning the first desk, I was pretty tired to start this task. I assembled it alone in proximately an hour. Everything went pretty smooth, except there was one problem. It was a little wobbly. So I went around and tightened everything and I still couldn’t figure out why it was wobbly I adjusted the bottom legs as well but that didn’t seem to correct the issue. I discussed the problem with a few people who all said it needed a bar across the front or to be against a wall . It’s not wobbly enough where it bothers me and I like how colorful the yellow and blue make my office look. The price is right, go for it! I already have a ton of cabinets so I didn’t need any more closed storage areas and there’s plenty of shelves for a printer, paper, etc… and I like that it has the keyboard pull out because no one sees that my laptops there.First, the few negatives - this desk takes a while to put together and while all the parts are well made and it’s not difficult, it does very much take some time. Worse, while the parts were all bagged and labeled, on my example at least, some of the parts were not in the bags that corresponded to the part labels in the instructions. They were there, just not where they should have been for easiest assembly. Also, once assembled there is a LOT of packaging materials to dispose of, both cardboard and styrofoam, which makes a mess when cutting or breaking up to bag and dispose of. This desk is not unique in this regard, but it’s something to consider.Having said that, the positives far outweig the negatives. The main table surface was not only pre-drilled with all the proper holes, many of the holes have plastic inserts so there is no risk of over-tightening a screw and stripping the threads out of the MDF panels. Once assembled, the desk is very solid and stable and has plenty of surface area for work or play. The main CPU self is plenty large enough for my mid-tower MSI Z590-based gaming PC to sit on, elevated by several inches from the floor (and away from carpet dust, static electricity and pet hair), with plenty of volume above the case for top-mounted case fans to provide good airflow. The side-mounted hooks are good for headphones, extension USB cables for controllers and accessory devices, etc. Finally, the main desk surface is solid, smooth and looks good in a contemporary way. It is thick and sturdy enough for my metal monitor post-mount to clamp to and hold my 32” 1440p monitor with complete stability, and to secure my flight simulator control yoke to clamp onto over the keyboard tray firmly and solidly.All in all, a very good desk at a very good price.I waited to write my review so this desk is perfect I work from home an this desk is used 5 to 6 days a weeks for 8 + hrs . I have not found any flaws or issues the desk top work area is incredible love the secondary level for my two monitors. The pull out for the keyboard an mouse with mouse pad is great but for me is it was at least one inch wider and an inch further down from the desk that would be perfect. This has met all my needs an then some well worth the money.
